SCALABLE PCB MANUFACTURING

Providing both Onshore and Offshore manufacturing to meet product life requirements

VOLUMES TO MEET YOUR NEEDS

Locating a contract electronics manufacturer that can truly and effectively support your project through it’s full life-cycle from initial prototype through to low-medium and ultimately high volumes can be challenging. Prism recognises this dilemma often faced by OEM’s and has developed an ideal solution.

Our manufacturing facility is situated within the heart of the United Kingdom’s Innovation Corridor, near Cambridge. We support early development through production volumes of both Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA), and box build projects. Our UK ‘onshore’ facility provides close proximity to UK development teams to allow efficient and effective collaborations between product development teams and our own manufacturing teams.

Our DFx and industrialisation knowledge and expertise will provide invaluable guidance to our clients and support the timely evolution of your product(s). We consider annual volumes from 1’s to 10,000’s as typical for our St Ives UK facility. As products become established and annual volumes increase it may become both desirable and in some cases a necessity to consider an offshore volume production model.

Prism will seamlessly and transparently manage the transitional growth to an ‘offshore’ manufacturing model at an agreed time with our clients. As Prism remains your contracted manufacturer, so you can be assured that product quality, IP security and communication will not be compromised. Our offshore manufacturing partner has over 50 years experience and is of course certifed ISO9001:2015.

  • UK production facility for development and low-medium volumes

  • Offshore manufacturing facility for high-volume production when appropriate

  • Rapidly increase capacity as required

  • Consistency through product life-cycle

  • Quality accreditation and IP Security assured

  • Offshore facility based on UK timezone supporting efficient communication

  • Resilience to cost of product life pressures

Scalable Manufacturing refers to the ability to increase (or decrease) production volumes rapidly as demand varies. In the early stages of a project it is preferable to have the manufacturing site in close proximity to the product development team. Additionally, in the early stages of a project, (while changes to design can be volatile), it is important to work with an agile manufacturing partner who can quickly adapt to change.
