Our extensive test development and production testing experience stems from before Prism was formed in 1991. Our knowledge in Design for Test (DFT) will provide product development and design engineers with added support in good practice techniques that will lead to robust and efficient production testing and diagnosis processes.
Our preference is to develop testing methods during early product development, however we can also work on existing product design to develop testing methodology, hardware and software.
While visual inspections can confirm to some extent that the product is assembled correctly, electrical and functional testing is required to ensure that a product is fully functional and meets a required specification. All bare boards are subject to an ICT (In-Circuit Test) during the PCB fabrication process. Once assembled boards can be tested using a variety of methods. These may include further ICT (Bed of nails), Flying probe, Functional Test with or without a Burn-in period. Additional requirements especially during design and development phases that may include EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing) which we can assist with support.
