RAPID PCB PROTOTYPE PROJECTS
We understand that certain customers will always require a fast turnaround service. This is clearly key when developing new products and prototyping and validating new product revisions updates. While we do not claim to compete with the various “24-hour PCB” service providers, we do provide an effective service for the needs of a large proportion of customers, particularly those with complex products for manufacture.
We have access to 24 hour printed circuit board fabricators and our own Sales, Logistics and Engineering teams are adept at rapidly responding to meet the specific customer requirements.
There are a number of factors that will affect the expected lead time of a prototype product. The bare board itself, number of layers and via types will directly affect lead times of the finished product due to the length of the board fabrication process itself. The amount of components that will be placed, (and procured) could further affect the project, assuming materials are readily available.
Prototype services are often termed as 3+3 or 5+5 etc. The first number refers to the days reserved fabrication of the bare PCB, and the second number relates to the time expected to assemble, (and test) the finished PCB.
