What is MES? – “Manufacturing Execution Systems” assist manufacturers with managing the shop-floor operations. They are used to control, track and record all manufacturing processes. Essential in ensuring adherence to process flow and ensuring that process changes are deployed in a timely and uniform manner.
What is ERP? – “Enterprise Resource Planning” is employed to manage inventory, purchasing, sales orders, change control, accounting, human resources and customer relationship management (CRM). Ensuring product change control of product and associated BOM (Bill of Materials) are managed by an effective ERP system.
