Staff at St Ives (Cambridgeshire) based contract electronics manufacturing services provider Prism Electronics (www.prism-electronics.com) are celebrating the promotion of one of the companies longest serving members of staff.
Paul joined the company in 1992 as a conventional assembly operator. The company was at their old premises and when the company moved, Paul went with them.
“Prism has always been a friendly and pleasant place to work so I never really looked for anything else. As Prism expanded so did my role so I stayed because the company allowed me to develop,” said Paul.
When Prism added surface mount assembly to its premises Paul moved to the surface mount department. He soon became team leader, a role he enjoyed for a number of years. In 2009 Paul moved to the engineering team and into the role of Process Specialist. Now as the company continues to develop Paul has proudly taken on the role of Quality Manager.
Paul said “I am looking forward to the new challenges in my role as Quality Manager and providing continuous improvements to all our quality procedures.”
Head of Operations Cheyenne Rowe said: “Providing consistently outstanding service depends on keeping highly skilled and motivated staff. Team members like Paul, who feel valued and that their effort is rewarded, will strive to perform well for the company and its customers.
“Continued excellence of service is reported in our regular customer surveys because our customers know that they can rely on consistently excellent service from a stable company that continues to invest in and develop its people.”
Recognised as an Investor in People since 1999, Prism actively encourages continuous professional development in its management, assembly and support staff teams. Training and continuous improvement of its skills and methods is an intrinsic part of Prism’s culture.
